Total Lunar Eclipse – Full Beaver Blood Moon – November 8, 2022

The Logistics and Watching

The Full Lunar Eclipse of the Beaver Blood Moon will happen in the early morning hours of November 8, 2022. If you wish to view the Eclipse, you'll have to be an early riser as it will be visible from about 3am until 4:30am'ish. This of course is dependent upon your time-zone and your geographical location – please research for your local area.

Why Blood Moon?

This moon is given the name Blood Moon because of the Eclipse. As the Eclipse occurs, the moon will appear to glow red or copper and it's this red hue that lends the name Blood Moon

Why Beaver Moon?

The indigenous peoples of North America named each moon. Typically these names were given based on the animals or features that would be most prominent under that moon. There is an Wolf moon in January for example, the Sturgeon moon was in August, there's a Strawberry moon in June. So this moon, the November moon is the Beaver moon. This is a time when the beavers prepare their homes for the long winter ahead. They ensure it's water tight and ready to house the family. We too should take heed of this advice of the beaver under this moon and ensure our homes are ready for the long, brutal weather of the coming months.

The Eclipse and the Energies

So, as we all know, an Eclipse changes the energy of a moon...and Eclipses are powerful. Full moons already affect humans as has been attested to by many who work law enforcement or in hospitals...many report that people act unusually and perhaps even more recklessly during a full moon. So add in the energy of an Eclipse and you have some pretty intense, over the top, reactions to things that people might not have otherwise reacted to.

I was looking for a creative way to explain how Eclipse Energy affects us and I came across this article from Elle Magazine...I have to quote here because I couldn't have said it better myself:

From Elle magazine: “...an eclipse is like a retrograde’s unruly cousin who gets dropped off for a two-week visit. By the time they leave, they’ve broken half your toys, got you grounded for their mischief, and gutted your feelings with teasing and insults. You wonder why you were ever excited to have them stay over in the first place.

But, like retrogrades, there’s no avoiding eclipses.”

Throw the American election on the same date as an eclipse and well, we might be in for some interesting news headlines in the coming week. OK so many who read this aren't American right? Right! But the fact is, what happens in the USA often times affects the overall political climates in other countries. So just something to bear in mind...

Shadows! And Shadow Work

It should also be noted that an eclipse is essentially, at it's essence, a shadow – which means that Shadow Work is likely to be prominent during the energy of a Full Lunar Eclipse.

What does this mean? It means that the universe is likely to bring in energies/people/headlines (see above), that will trigger you – that will bring up your own Shadows. Be prepared to deal with your Shadows – if you feel triggered, have a good clear look at the situation and decide, “Is this triggering me because it's legit, or it this one of my Shadows?”

Digging Deeper

This Eclipse is set to launch us towards our future energies – giving us an opportunity to leave the past exactly where it belongs – in the past. As I mentioned in the Video, this is the time when unexpected truths will come out – watch for the truth to emerge...the only way into the Age of Aquarius is to release the attachments to the past energy of the Age of Pisces...it's time to leave the outdated beliefs and identities of the Age of Pisces and begin our intentional ascension into the vibration of the Age of Aquarius.

As we move out of this Eclipse season, we will enter a time of authenticity, a time of personal truth.

Cards to guide us:

Past Energy: The Dream – the energy of this card indicates that we are not living in a reality but rather living in our heads or in the dreams and intentions of someone else who's also helping to create the reality that we think we are living in...And when we live in the energy of longing (dreaming for, hoping for, wanting), then we can miss the truth of the present moment.

Present Energy: Ordinariness – the energy of this card is that we are feeling just, well, ordinary. We are feeling a bit stuck, and a bit blah. Everything is routine, and yet, when things are ordinary or routine, we tend to not truly live our lives...we go through the motions and habits but we aren't truly EXPERIENCING life

Future Energies: Two cards: Awareness & Flowering – you'll note on the Awareness card that there's a figure, a shadowy figure who's seemingly ordinary (see above references to both shadows & ordinariness). But emerging from this shadowy figure is an internal awareness, an awakening figure, in colour, The emerging figure is made up of blue flames – indicating blue for water (flowing) and flames for fire (action). And given that both the Awareness card and the Flowering card came up together, with Awareness on top (first), it's a message that as we Wake Up, as we become more aware of the TRUTH, we will be able to Flower, Bloom, come into our own beauty of who we are truly meant to be. After-all, the seed of a flower has one sole purpose; to become the flower that it was meant to be...as we too have a purpose...we are now awakening to our purpose, to Truth, and to the freedom that was intended for us, as humans!
