Oh 8, Oh 8, Open the Lion's Gate!

So much to post on a Monday - I don't want to overwhelm you but, 08/08 is the Lion's Gate...Oh I'm a poet, and I didn't even know it! OK I'll stop...08/08 was also my grandmother's birthday...in fact, her birthday was 08/08/16 - Gee I wonder why numbers have always fascinated me?

The number 8 is a significant number to be sure so having a day with 2-8's is super powerful. The number 8 is also the symbol for Infinity if you were to turn it upon it's side...it symbolizes a double circle, representing that everything needs to be in balance, what goes around comes around, everything is a cycle, when something ends, something begins...you get the idea...This means the Law of KARMA comes into play today…what you wish for needs to be in alignment with not only your desires but also in alignment with a positive outcome for the masses. Selfish desires can come back to haunt you if your sole desire is to manifest that which serves you and you alone…

Anyway, what else does today mean for you? What does the Lion's Gate bring to the table?

The Lion's Gate is a day for manifestation - it's a date when it's believed that the energies align to open a portal between the constellations Virgo and Leo, allowing for what you might call a "Super Manifestation Day". So what is the energy of today conducive to practicing?

Open your heart today and allow yourself to be loved. Many of us don’t realize that we walk around with our hearts closed…we don’t allow ourselves to be loved because we somehow feel undeserving of love. Today is a day when the heart chakra is more open to receiving love…we hear it often but it bears repeating; EVERYONE is deserving of love - love is a universal force, a universal energy…and today, it abounds…

Today we are more connected to Sirius…Sirius is a star of healing…it’s energies can be quite subtle and are often missed…but not today. If your manifestation today involves healing in any way shape or form, call upon the energies of Sirius to help.

Open your chakras today - do a meditation to open, heal and balance the chakras, particularly the upper chakras. From the Heart Chakra upwards, the Lion’s Gate can help us to open these upper chakras. Typically you need to have completed the inner work of balancing the lower chakras before moving to the upper chakras. But today allows you to access the wisdom of the upper chakras-even if only for a quick glimpse of what “can be” once you’ve completed the more worldly work of the lower chakras. Connect with inner wisdom and intuition…that’s what the upper chakras are all about.

Pay really close attention to your dreams right now - your guides find it easier to get your attention when the Lion's Gate opens...there are other times of the year when your guides find it easier too and I'll post near those alignments. If you’re not already keeping a dream journal next to your bed, you may want to consider doing so tonight and through Friday night…you’ll catch the energies of the Lion’s Gate as well as the energies of the Full Super Moon on Thursday night.
