Full Moon, Mercury Retrograde, Equinox, Sun Spots & Solar Storms

September is going to be a busy month - not just for students returning to the classrooms, and for adults returning to the reality summer vacations are over, but also due to many celestial events - these celestial events affect us down here on this spinning ball of dirt and water…so let’s dig in and see what’s in store for the coming month…

On September 10, 2022, we will enjoy the Harvest Full Moon…sounds wonderful and lovely…time to reap the harvest of the past few months. This full moon falls under the sign of Pisces…Pisces is all about autonomy and self exploration - looking within at the self. Taking at look in the mirror and relish and celebrate that which we truly like and value about ourselves. This is not conceit - this is introspection and gratitude. Sure you can celebrate the colour of your hair or eyes-of course you can celebrate the superficial things…but this moon asks us to dig deeper…to to explore our inner world/work on a deeper level…celebrate your intuition, celebrate your brain being able to calculate in a millisecond that you needed to swerve the car last minute, celebrate your healthy habits and choices, celebrate self care, celebrate you! All of you!

Pisces is a water sign and this too calls us to the most important aspect of water…it’s ability to flow…this becomes important because the day before the full moon, yet another dreaded Mercury Retrograde begins…but before we tackle Mercury, let’s look deeper at Pisces and the flow that we can expect under this full moon…expect your intuition to be at it’s peak right now…that’s part of flow - and the more that you acknowledge your intuition, the more it’s going to show up! Watch for new perspectives - be open to seeing things another way from your usual…the light of this moon will help you see the bigger picture.

Also try to overcome some inhibitions at this time - overcoming inhibitions is all about being in flow. That’s not to say that you should strip down and dance naked under the full moon if that seriously makes you squirm and feel like a fish out of water (yes pun intended as we talk about Pisces - no apologies)…but if you’ve always wondered what it would be like to dance naked under a full moon, why not release a few inhibitions under this one and dance like no one is watching! Or like me, sing like no one is listening - I love to sing but seldom sign in front of others…hummm maybe a karaoke night out is in order under this moon?

As with any Full Moon, many energies are present and amplified for the purposes of spell casting…so here is a suggestion for this moon:
Full Moon’s are great for spells to remove negative energies - as many have experienced some pretty crazy weather this summer, and as the hurricane seasons rev up into high gear (more about that in a moment), a great spell is a weather spell… Given that Mercury Retrograde starts the day prior to this moon, I’m recommending more of a Balancing Spell, rather than a full fledged Removal Spell. Due to miscommunications under Mercury Retrograde, a full-on removal spell for rain could cause an area to go full-on drought…so Balancing under this moon/Mercury is for the best…

WEATHER BALANCING SPELL FOR FULL MOON
Cast your circle and call in the elements, elementals and any other energies you like to work with. Light a candle to represent Fire, have incense burning to represent Air, have a vessel with Water, and have stones or some dirt or salt to represent Earth…and don’t forget about the 5th element - Ether/Spirit. Different traditions represent Ether/Spirit different ways; some use a very personal item (an old piece of jewellery?), some combine two other elements (put a stick of incense in the candle wax?, make salt water?) and still others use sound to represent Ether (a small bell or a singing bowl?).
As wind and rain can be the most damaging elements of weather, have your pendulum ready…meditate a moment, set your intentions to balance the weather…and begin intentionally spinning the pendulum in a counter clock-wise direction…as you do so, imagine in your mind that the energy of the spinning pendulum is lifting or removing the energies from clouds, it’s diffusing the clouds, if hurricanes are a concern, imagine that your pendulum has the ability to untwist the circulation of the storm….
Here is a little incantation you can repeat

Clouds and Water, Wind and Rain,
I command of you to become mundane,
Balance is the key to life
Please release your anger and strife
Bring only what’s necessary and needed
And release the excess unheeded
So Mote it Be!

When you are finished repeating the incantation and the counter clockwise spin with your pendulum, begin a clockwise spin and visualize the weather that you feel is perfect for your area - sun, a few clouds, perfect temps etc.

Before you complete your workings, be sure to thank the elementals, the elements and be sure to open your circle again.

Mercury in Retrograde - don’t you wish that that little planet would do this a whole lot less often!!! Jeeessh…often when Mercury goes retrograde, communications issues abound - minor misunderstandings can quickly escalate into epic fights, sometimes with incalculable consequences. This little pesky planet will be in Retrograde from September 9 until October 1, 2022. If you have important contractual negotiations to do, try to complete them before Sept. 9 or hold off until after Oct. 1. If you’re in a romantic relationship, watch your communications - be more cautious with the tone of your voice as even just a slight tonal change can set people off under this type of energy…add the Sun spots and Solar Storms (see below) and we could have WWIII happening in our homes.

Basic rule under Mercury Retrograde; Be careful with your words and tones, try to avoid important conversations or negotiations and bring a whole lot of patience and understanding to the table.

As this is getting really long, I’m going to do a fully separate post for the Fall Equinox but it does still warrant mentioning in the headline here that the energy of the Equinox will happen in September along with all of these other energetic influences.

Sun Spots and Solar Storms; Did you know that although controversial and until recently, mentioning earths weakening magnetic field was frowned upon? Did you know that it’s a fact, Earth’s magnetic field is weakening AND the poles are shifting and moving? Did you know that in August we entered a very active season on the sun that includes increased sun spot activity, and increased solar storms? Does this matter? Did you know that we are affected by sun spots and solar storms?

We are in fact affected by all of this activity from our sun/closest star…during a solar storm, not only are the Northern Lights more beautiful, but people are in fact affected mentally and emotionally. There is often increased activity in hospitals and in particular involving mental health during these storms.

Also of interest is that when the Sun gets active, volcanoes also tend to get more active…so too do the hurricanes and typhoons in the oceans! Case in point, solar activity increased about 4 days ago and the earth experienced a 7.0 earthquake and 2-6.9’s within the past week!
With the weakening magnetic field, we are all being affected more than we used to be and so is the Earth…Earthquakes have the potential to be larger than what we are used to. Hurricanes and Typhoons are larger under an active Sun. Bottom line is right now - yes our climate is changing…but it’s not carbon…it’s our Sun…and those who are pushing the climate agenda know this - they know this sun cycle is cyclical - the Earth has gone through this before, 6,000 years ago, 12,000 years ago…do some research on the Carrington Event…
Just sayin’ - there’s more that’s going on when it comes to energies and what’s affecting us on our spinning piece of mud and water…
